This is part of my dessert/candy series that I never really talked much about. I used a very different method when painting/drawing this picture, which makes it stand out in my collection. I used a combination of oil paint and colored pencil when creating this, first drawing with colored pencil and then pushing the pigment around with turpenoid. If the color wasn't intense enough, I either went over it again with more colored pencil or oil paint (depending on what I had out). Much of the gray you see in there is a result of the graphite pencil I used, but I do like it in there. The picture isn't as refined as most of my surrealism pieces, but it has a nice rough effect to it. As you can see, there's a story to it and there's all kinds of symbolism in there, but I'm told that art should speak for itself (though I don't imagine it will make much sense to anyone but me).

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
